'Perfect' for the new player and the seasoned pro alike.
Your ideal entry-point into the exciting world of 5-string banjos, the ''Perfect'' series were first created by Messrs Barnes & Mullins at the start of the 1900s and formed the very core of the early B&M instrument offering.
This Barnes & Mullins BJ300 Perfect banjo delivers a warm and controlled sound with an easy playing feel well suited to all, even absolute beginners. Tonally, you can expect a comparatively gentle and mature response when played with fingers or a plectrum.
The BJ300 features a mahogany resonator, an aluminium rim with a Remo WeatherKing head and a mahogany neck. It is completed with chrome hardware and fittings, an ovangkol wooden fingerboard, modern closed gear machineheads, and the iconic 'Barnes & Mullins London W' historic logo.
These modern-day 'Perfect' banjos adhere to traditional banjo design but are matched to modern manufacturing techniques, whilst paying homage to the vision and designs of our founders.
Well into the 21st century, original B&M 'Perfect' banjos still change hands for considerable sums of money amongst both antique dealers and musicians alike.
